It's me again...

I've been meaning to update forever, but at first I was too busy. Then, time went on and I just became overwhelmed at how behind I was and would say, "It's too much, I'll do it later". But, the more I put it off, the more I got behind--funny how that works. :) So, I've finally decided I'll just post some pictures, not try to write too much, and start fresh from here.

The chitlins are all getting so big. Karly is in sunbeams and loves it. She pretends to pray into a microphone every night--just like they do in primary. Her current favorite song is "Single Ladies" by Beyonce. Yes, I am raising a 3 year old princess going on a 16 year old diva. And, our biggest challenge right now is trying to get her to use the potty. She was almost totally trained before the boys came...and then total regression. Now, it's just laziness. She can make it to the toilet when she wants to, but most of the time doesn't want to bother herself with a boring activity like that. We've tried bribing with toys, candy, stickers, pre-school, dance classes...and nothing. So, any tips would be greatly appreciated. :)

The boys are now almost eight months old!

Brody is our big boy--weighing in at 20 lbs. 8.5 oz. at 6 months. He is awesome at rolling over, but (I think due to the large size of his noggin) still struggles with sitting. He likes to lay on his back and scoot himself across the floor. He is usually very content and it's very easy to get a smile out of him. He's also already had his first haircut.
Here's the before

and after...so handsome :)

Deegan is our "Deegar Doodles"--weighing in at 18 lbs. 8 oz. at 6 months (and boy can you feel those two pounds difference from his brother). He's constantly kicking his legs or flapping his arms. He likes to squeal and scream. About a month and a half ago, we switched him to soy formula and his acid reflux dramatically decreased, so he has become a much happier boy. He still doesn't like to be on his tummy or flat on his back much, and so he doesn't really roll--but, he is great at sitting.

When everyone is happy we are soooo happy.....

And when one is sad--we are usually all sad...

But, still very cute!

Kari...you're kids are adorable. I'll pass on some potty training advice from my mom and also a woman i work with. Try getting her some panties she'll love. For my mom, us girls LOVED silky panties and didn't want to get them dirty so we were potty trained in a day. The lady at work said her daughter loved sponge bob panties and that worked for her. I've also heard if they are wearing a dress/skirt it's easier too because they don't have to fiddle with a button/zipper/etc. I wish you the best of luck!!!
