We're Back!!

Popsicles

Karly is teething and had a fever today, so we decided to try and see if a popsicle would help. Well, from the first picture you would think Karly really enjoyed it--but as you look at the next few pics, you'll see it was actually Bella enjoying the popsicle!

Then, we had fun rinsing off in the faucet.

And, of course, Bella joined in and got a bath out of the whole thing!

Scottsdale Train Park

For our anniversary last week, Kelly took the day off and we took Karly to the Scottsdale Train Park. They have a carousel and train rides, a big train you can tour, a huge playground, and an ice cream parlor. We had such a fun time, although I think Karly liked the new people to look at more than the train and carousel!

This was Karly's first time on a carousel. She was so funny...she didn't really smile, but didn't cry, either. She just kept saying "ooohhh" in a whisper. It was pretty cute!

Bella's Haircut

Last weekend, Kelly and I thought we would attempt to cut Bella's hair ourselves. It went pretty well--there are only a few places that look like a "hack job". I was a little sad because I loved my fluffball, but it's just too hot! Plus, she's still the cutest gremlin I've ever seen!

Fast Friends

Karly and Bella are becoming fast friends. They always have to know what the other is up to....the only problem is usually one wants to play when the other doesn't. But, overall they enjoy each other, and Kelly and I get a few laughs out of it in the meantime. We sure love our girls!

This is Karly and Bella playing with chalk on the patio. There was more chalk on Bella's whiskers than on the actual pavement--but don't worry she didn't eat any (just sniffed), and it's non-toxic. :)

Happy Easter! We had a pretty good Easter at our house and hope everyone else did too!

Lookin' for eggs

We finally settled on a name...this is BELLA!! (Isabella Von Schnauzer) She turned 10 weeks today! She has been so great the last couple of days...she even sleeps through the night!!

Our new puppy!! (No name yet!)

She is the sweetest thing ever! We thought we were getting a boy, but when I saw this little girl, I knew it was meant to be. She is so calm and sweet, and thinks Karly is pretty fun, too. We know we have a long couple of nights ahead of us....hopefully we'll make it.

Karly is very excited to have the new puppy. She tries to stroke, pat and hold her--with us constantly telling her to "be soft". I think Karly is even a little jealous she's not the center of attention anymore....but, that's good for her, right?!

Karly inspected the puppy's new home, inside and out. And again, I think she is a little jealous of the puppy's new fort.

The Zoo

We had a good time at the zoo with Ba, Poppy and Shelly. It was a beautiful day and Karly loved being outside. We wondered what she liked more--the actual animals or all the new people to look at...but either way we had fun!

We bought Karly this stuffed monkey and she liked to carry it around the same way her dad carried her--on her shoulders, arms wrapped around her forehead.

Karly was the cutest thing at the zoo, if I do say so myself (which I always do)!

Getting ready for summer

A few weeks ago, when the weather started to warm, Karly and I decided we needed to primp for summer. So, we got some fabulous new sunglasses and painted our toes pink!

Startin' Slow in 2007

Sorry, it's been a long while since our last post. We just haven't had much to report! Phoenix is still growing on us, although it hasn't really been that warm. Well, warmer than where most of you are...but not what we expected from "Phoenix winters". Karly is getting so old, we can't believe it. She loves to sit and read her "flip the flap" books and rearrange mom's cupboards. She also loves primary...especially singing time. (I teach the 9/10 year olds and Karly spends sharing time with us.)

Just readin' a book!

Watching Baby Signing Time--Karly got this for Valentine's Day from Mom and Dad. She can sign eat and baby, so far. (Tongue is out for concentration, of course.)

Thanksgiving

We were excited to have my family come down for Thanksgiving! And Karly got to open some pre-birthday presents from Ba, Poppy, Erika and fam, and Sissy... a great time had by all!

Happy Birthday!!

Karly turned ONE on Saturday, December 2nd! We can't believe how fast time has gone by--it seems like just yesterday she joined our family. But, we sure can't imagine our life without her....was there life before her?!? She brightens our every day! We haven't updated the blog in awhile since we moved and were without internet for awhile, and since our last update she has taken to walking. She's not very brave...her best walking takes place with her bottle in her mouth, when she doesn't notice she's away from anything to hold onto. But she's getting there! And, still no teeth...I'm almost beginning to wonder if she has any at all?! Other than that, she's still the happy, smiley, little people-person she's always been. We sure do love her!!

Good morning, Sunshine!

We were lucky to have Darin and Shelly over to help celebrate! Karly had to tear each piece of wrapping paper off and hand it over to Darin.

Silly D!!

We gave Karly her own little cake to go at for awhile. She took a minute to get into it--she just kept stroking the top of the cake. But once I dug her hand into the cake for her, she got the idea and tore into it. And of course, the mark of a job well done, she ended up with some down her diaper!
