More pics

Karly was her usual self....a little bit on the spastic side (in a good way, mind you). They would pose her and it would last for two pictures, and then she would start throwing her arms around or rolling around on the floor. These first two shots the photographer just kept shooting as Karly rolled around with the flower.

Portrait Innovations

I found Portrait Innovations when we lived in Phoenix and was so excited when one opened up here. If you want to get indoor professionals taken, I would highly recommend them....they usually do a good job and have some great deals.

Karly will be three in a few weeks! I can't believe it.

They couldn't get the boys to smile...they were tired. But, Deegan cooed a little bit and they caught this cute one.

Chubba-Bubba

Boy, was it a challenge to get three kids ready, there, and fed and happy! I couldn't have done it without my sister's help. Thank you, Sissy!!
Oh, and to family...these are the shots I ordered--so email or call me if you would like one (I have a bunch of sizes, too).

Three months

LIFE WITH TWINS
Sometimes I say to myself...WHAT WAS GOD THINKING?
There are days when there is
not enough of me to go around
and the house is a mess
and there is 2 times the laundry
and 2 times the diapers
and 4 muddy feet
and 2 glasses of spilled milk....

But most days I just feel blessed
to have 4 little arms to hug me
and 4 big eyes to melt my heart.
I like double the kisses
and getting 2 special valentines on Valentine's Day.

You are so small and innocent
and I know you will grow up much too soon.
So let the house-work slide for a while.
I have an excuse.... I'm raising twins
and I'm truly blessed.
I wouldn't trade these moments
for diamonds and rubies.
I am doubly blessed...
for God gave me the honor of loving twins.

Halloween....finally

So, I'm finally getting around to posting some of our pics from Halloween. Sorry to the grandma's for taking so long. :)

The above picture looks like Karly is crying--but she was actually just overcome with excitement and was making the noise a VERY excited chicken would make...."bawka, bawka, bawka..." You get the idea. :)

Deegan the Ghost....almost caught a smile, I was a little too late.

Carving Pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins for FHE last Monday. We got some pizza, had spooky background music, and had a great time carving. Sissy and Alex came over to join the party, too!

Sissy helped Karly carve her pumpkin. Karly was very specific about having "moon" eyes. I don't know if she even knew what that meant...but it sure made a cute "punkin".

Can anyone else see the similarity between Karly and her pumpkin?
Karly loves to be chased by the "MONSTER MAN!"--which is mostly her Dad, but can also be anyone that chases her. So, Kelly decided to be a pumpkin monster man.

He even caught Karly by suprise....

But, mostly she just thought it looked fun to put your pumpkin on your head and had to try it for herself.

The finished products.

My pumpkin (if you can't tell) is a vampire and a girl--in true "Twilight" fashion....Karly could really only see the girl outline and thought it looked like a princess. Her response to this was, "Mom, your punkin is like, so great!"

Sia-nara tootie!

This first picture is to illustrate the mutilation of the tootie (if you can see it). Karly had bit some slits into her tootie, but they didn't seem to bother her. But, my sister and friend, Nina, both told me about the cutting technique...where you cut a slit and gradually make it bigger. This makes it lose it's great "suck" value and the kid loses interest....supposedly. So I made some slits--and then made them bigger, but quickly became frustrated because this didn't seem to discourage our Karly Bug at all. Then one night I took the scissors to it in an especially vicious way, and almost cut the whole bulb off. However, Kelly pointed out how horrible it would be if it were to detach completely and choke her during the night. So then, freaking out at my stupidity, we laid on the "big girls don't need tooties, tootie is sad and hurt and needs to go in the garbage...that would make it happy" speech extra thick. Karly's answer to all this was "I'll do it tomorrow." Which, if you know Karly, actually means "I'm going to say I'll do it at a later time in order to get you people off my back."
So, I was more than a little amazed the next morning when Karly got down from the table at breakfast and said, "Mom, I want to throw my tootie in the garbage." I then decided to make a very big deal of it and pulled out the camera to document the occasion. Karly obviously enjoyed the spectacle and began to put on a show for the camera...which required no coaching. :)

Going....

....going....

...gone!!
We are so proud of you, Karly! (It's about time!)
